The Saranac Living Room Table is intended to bring you all of the functionality and convenience that your indoor living room tables do and translate that to your outdoor living space. The cocktail table, which measures 17 inches in height by 48 inches in width by 25 inches in depth, is large enough to accommodate your storage needs yet small enough to easily fit into a seating area of any size. It is made out of durable teak wood, of which is grown and harvested in its natural tropical environments from a plantation where it is closely monitored to ensure its quality. This teak wood has tiny grains that, unlike most other kinds of wood, excellently trap in the moisture and oils found naturally in the wood. These oils allow the teak to age with grace and beauty, turning the golden brown color of the wood into a neutral and stunning gray over time. The teak wood has been kiln dried in order to keep those oils in place while also providing a beautiful and durable finish to the hard wood. The wood is able to resist damage and rotting from weather of all different intensities.

Slow-growing and plantation raised, LANE VENTURE uses only the finest grade of this most valuable tropical hardwood for its beautiful furniture. Kiln drying and hand-crafted construction techniques, including doweled mortise, finger joinery, and box joints, ensure that your frames will hold up even after prolonged outdoor exposure.

Finish

Teak is a low maintenance wood, and we recommend that you allow your furniture to age naturally. Its close, tight grain and abundance of natural oils make teak hard- wearing and highly resistant to rotting, sunshine, snow and rain. After prolonged exposure, teak’s original golden honey color will begin to transition to a soft and silvery gray.

Care & Maintenance - Frames

Minimal maintenance is required to keep teak wood looking good. Periodically clean your furniture with a teak cleaner, available through your local LANE VENTURE retailer. Because of the high oil content of this wood, teak shouldn’t be painted or sealed: it won’t adhere properly and will eventually peel off. If you wish to keep the warm golden color of new teak, you will need to routinely re-apply a teak sealer for continuous coverage.
